Fun workshops designing and building boats and ships throughout history including TITANIC and WAVERLEY. Suitable for ages 5-9.

To celebrate our upcoming exhibition TITANIC: Honour and Glory, come along and help us build a gigantic model of Titanic! Paint a funnel, create a passenger puppet, design a porthole. Materials supplied.

Illustrated Talk
Mr Graham Cumming will deliver an exhilarating talk on real people and events from detailed research of private and public records from key maritime repositories around the world.
The story focuses on the square rigged ships of R&J Craig of Glasgow, of Craig’s “COUNTIES” fame, 1860-1907.
Highlighting the first true 4-masted Merchant-Ship: sv “County of Peebles” (SN 71742), and paving the way for excellent 3 & 4 masted steel sailing ships such as the sv “Glenlee”.
Mr Cumming is a Chartered Engineer (Graduate of Strathclyde University), Maritime Historian & author of “GONE . . . .” the story of R&J Craig of Glasgow 1860-1907.

Meet The Glenlee Crew
Come along and meet Captain Owens and his crew. It's 1913 and the Glenlee has just arrived home from a round the world voyage. Hear tales of 'Rounding the Horn and help Mrs Owens look for Jock, the Ship's Cat. Fun for all the family!
