Onboard
A voyage of discovery
While onboard Glenlee, you can discover interactive exhibits including climbing along the mock yard and rigging or having a sniff of some rather unattractive cargos!
The majority of the ship has disabled access including two disabled lifts and toilet facilities.
Families can take part in a variety of Discover Trails or Hunt for Jock, the Ship’s Cat!

Visitor Centre
Gift Shop
There is a nautically themed Gift Shop located in the Visitor Centre selling a wide range of souvenirs and pocket money priced items for children.
Café
A small café selling hot drinks and light refreshments is situated adjacent to the Gift Shop and allows stunning views of Glenlee.
Exhibition Gallery
Located in the Pumphouse Visitor Centre, view our changing maritime themed exhibitions.
New for 2008: Your Ocean and Skin Deep. Both touring exhibitions from the National Maritime Museum, London.
Pre-5 Area
Our pre 5 area is located in the Lower Gallery and contains colouring activities, storybooks and toys suitable for little landlubbers! Please note that this area is also used by children’s groups and may not always be accessible.
Parking
FREE parking is available directly outside the Visitor Centre. Disabled parking bays and coach drop off points are also available.
Disabled Access
There is disabled parking, a coach drop off point and level access out onto the quayside. Two gangways allow wheelchair access onto the main deck of the Glenlee. There are two lifts on board, with crew on hand to assist. Disabled toilets are situated in the visitor centre and on board the Glenlee. The gift shop and cafe are not wheelchair accessible, but refreshments can be taken to the Lower Gallery.
Quayside
Our historic quayside gives visitors the chance to try some maritime games that sailors would have played onboard, enjoy a picnic or sail model boats on the boating pond. Boats are available to purchase from our Gift Shop.
